Singapore can get pretty expensive if you’re dining out. That’s why Singaporeans often take a day trip or a couple of days off to head over to our neighbouring country, Malaysia, for a feasting spree.

York Hotel Singapore, well-known for their thrice-yearly Penang Hawkers’ Fare, is back with another Malaysia-themed food event.
Get ready to indulge in their highly-anticipated Malaysian Street Food Fiesta a la carte buffet (S$25++/adult and S$15++/child on weekdays, S$28++/adult and S$18++/child on weekends). The dishes are prepared a la minute by the guest hawkers flown in from Malaysia and they’ll be available from 21 June – 7 July 2019.
The hotel’s signature restaurant, White Rose Cafe will be featuring iconic street food from various states across Malaysia. Think Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Klang and more!

Included in the impressive repertoire of street food delights is Klang-style Bak Kut Teh, which is served with a dark, herbaceous broth.
They infused the broth using a variety of Chinese herbs, spices, and pork bones, promising a super-rich and intense flavour.
From Kuala Lumpur is none other than the ever-popular KL Hokkien Mee (also known as Dai Lok Mee). Unlike our local version which has a strong seafood flavour, the KL version comes with prominent notes of sweetness. The thick yellow noodles are doused with sweet and savoury black sauce, giving it an irresistible fragrance.

There’ll be a smorgasbord of traditional Malaysian desserts on display. From Nonya Kueh, to Apom Manis, to Chilled Burbur Chacha, choosing your favourites will definitely not be easy.
