You’ve heard of boba in beer, pizza, hotpot, cheesecake… There are all sorts of odd creations out there.
Having previously made an appearance in Japan, boba ramen has now resurfaced in Sabah, Malaysia.
Japanese bubble tea chain Ochado Sabah has jumped on the boba-in-food bandwagon with their Boba Japanese Noodles (RM8.50).
Malaysians may love their bubble tea, but the founders of Ochakin (who run Ochado Sabah) decided to stick to regular ramen broth, and not a milk tea-based one.
Each serving comes with boba, crabstick and a choice of spicy or miso broth.
Few reviews exist on their Facebook page at the moment, so try it for yourself if you’re craving for something different in Kota Kinabalu.
The ramen can be found at all three Ochado Sabah outlets, located in Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, Damai Plaza, and Imago Shopping Mall.
Boba ramen isn’t that a big of a deal, but you can’t help but wonder: is there an end to this boba madness? What do you think?
Dates & Times: Now available at all Ochado Sabah outlets
Prices: RM8.50 per bowl
