We’re sure everyone has heard of Artbox by now and of the crazy crowds. Why not try hitting up a more relaxed food fest instead at Sentosa?

The first ever Siloso GrillFest was a hit this past Easter Weekend 2017 and we already regret not ordering more food. Luckily for all of us, the BBQ event will be back this coming weekend from 21 – 23 April, so clear your plans and your tummies!

Siloso Grillfest 2017-1-2

About 20 food stalls line the walkway right next to Siloso Beach Sentosa, serving up everything you could want at a BBQ. Just follow the colourful umbrellas and check out all the grub from some of the best restaurants around Sentosa.

Siloso Grillfest 2017-1

Aptly named, the Siloso GrillFest even features the longest brick BBQ pit in Singapore. That’s right folks, on opening day, the Singapore Book of Records verified this feat which was jointly set by Sentosa Development Corporation and Spuds & Aprons.

The incredible aromas of grilled meats will guide you on your evening stroll… our advice? Order loads to share.

We highly recommend parking someone to chope a good spot at the nearby pavilion, as live music and activities will go on throughout the night.

With so many stalls to choose from, we thought we’d highlight a few to check out. Do have a bit of a wander though as the ambience is fantastic.

Spuds & Aprons Smoke Shack

Siloso Grillfest 2017-

Of course we had to order something from the stall that just won the Singapore record. Spuds & Aprons Smoke Shack was spit-roasting a whole lamb when we arrived and we couldn’t wait to try some.

The Herb Roasted Whole Lamb ($15) was tender and juicy, seasoned perfectly and served with a minty-brown gravy and side salad. This was one of the highlights of the Siloso GrillFest for us.

The Smoke Shack also serves fresh seafood grilled to order, and you can get a Hot Grilled Seafood Platter ($22) where you can choose four types of seafood.

We loved the Fresh Grey Prawns and Fresh Clams that were served with a spicy sambal and chilli crab sauce respectively. It’s going to get delicious and messy so pack some wet wipes!

Coastes

siloso grillfest

Speaking of delicious and messy, who can resist a plate of chicken wings? The Coastes Chicken Wings (Half Dozen, $10) were ideal BBQ food and great for sharing.

A squeeze of lime and a dip into the tangy chilli sauce and you’re good to go.

ONE°15 Marina

sentosa grillfest

You know it has to be good when a food stall only serves one thing. ONE°15 Marina‘s Wok Fried Tiger Prawns ($15) really hit the spot in all the varieties offered: Black pepperchilli crab and herbal.

If we had to choose, we’d say to go for the black pepper.

FOC Sentosa

sentosa grillfest

FOC Sentosa is known for its Mediterranean food and we were really impressed by the “Pincho Moruno” Chicken Skewer With Rustic Bread ($8). You won’t want to be sharing this, so it’s best to probably get a few plates.

Mykonos On The Bay

sentosa grillfest

Ahh… the Greeks never disappoint when it comes to the grill. Get a Pita Gyros ($13) stuffed with meat at Mykonos On The Bay and munch on it while checking out the other food stalls.

The meat was very juicy and dispersed nicely throughout the wrap, and we loved the addition of fries which soaked up all the flavours.

Ola Beach Club

From Greece to Hawaii, stop by the Ola Beach Club stall for tropical flavours that pack a punch.

Try the Kalua Pig Tacos (1 pc, $10 / 2pcs, $17.50), which are a beautiful mess of tender and smoky shredded pork, house-made Lomi tomato relish, guacamole, fresh lettuce and melted cheddar cheese.

Or get some fresh Hyogo Oysters (1 pc, $4 / 6pcs, $20 / 12pcs, $40) that were perfect with a dash of lemon.

Greenwood Fish Market at Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove

Siloso Grillfest 2017--2

We followed the smoke and found Greenwood Fish Market with an impressive barbecue out back.

Homemade Bacon ($6) was screaming our name, but then we saw French Fries With Bacon ($8) and knew that the deal was sealed. Crispy, golden fries by themselves are already to die for, but the smoky cubes of bacon made all the difference.

Gin Khao at Quayside Isle @ Sentosa Cove

We couldn’t help but to gravitate towards Asian food, and Gin Khao caught our eye. After all the grilled meats, we loved getting a side of Som Tam Salad ($5) as a palate cleanser.

It was refreshing with a spicy kick, definitely get this to complement your grilled dishes!

Co+Nut+ink

sentosa grillfest

We all agreed that if there’s one place that we always stop by when we visit Sentosa, it’s Co+Nut+ink. The famous Coconut Ice Cream shop is open till late during the Siloso GrillFest and you can enjoy a Fresh Whole Coconut ($5.50) with your meal or as dessert.

Lastly, we just have to rave about this huge Mocktail ($10) from the Spuds & Aprons drinks booth. Get fresh coconuts AND this to share over your meal – it was sparkling and fruity (and lasted for quite awhile).

Very worth the money!

There’s more grilled food to be found at Siloso GrillFest other than what we mentioned here. Don’t forget to check out the Grilled Iberico Pork Char Siew from Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, and the Salted Egg Chicken Drumlets from Wave House Sentosa as well.

Bring along your Mastercard to the Siloso GrillFest to get 10% off at selected stalls. Plus, if you spend $30 with your Mastercard at selected stalls, you even get to participate in a Sure-Win spin contest.

Sure-Win? Now that’s what we like to hear!

There’s only one more weekend left to enjoy the Siloso GrillFest, so why not make a whole day of it? Get your family and friends together for a relaxing day out at Sentosa and then stay till the evening to get your fill of good barbecue.

We would definitely go back just for that mocktail! And maybe try the one with alcohol this time.
